I'm an insider!

September 13, 2005

Someone covered my post about the new Yahoo! Mail Beta and called me an “insider”. Excellent. :)

Update: As it turns out, “someone” is actually Rafael Ebron, Product Marketing Manager for the Mozilla Foundation. Serves me right for running off like a giddy schoolgirl and posting that someone covered my post without bothering to give them any attribution aside from a hyperlink.

Man, those black boxes I threw in the screenshots to cover up personal information are really ugly. I should redo the screenshots with a test account or something.

Someone? You mean one of the marketing mangers for Mozilla? One of the guys who works on Firefox/Thunderbird? Former product manager for Netscape 7.x?

Eh, you’re right. I’m nobody. I do have a name but I guess you’re getting me back for calling you insider versus Ryan.

Rafael, sorry for not mentioning your name (though you didn’t mention it either in your comment). I was just excited that anybody had bothered to even mention my post. I was actually very happy to be called an insider.

No worries. Good writing, good thoughts, and congrats on the launch.

Thanks. We’ve all had quite a fantastic day today. The world (for the most part) seems to be accepting the new beta with excitement.
