Don't accept any Yahoo! Mail Beta invites from people
December 20, 2005
If anyone offers you an invite to the Yahoo! Mail Beta, don’t take it. Nobody can get you into the beta with an invite. There is no open invite system. If someone offers you an invite, it’s either a trick or a misunderstanding on their part. They have no invite to offer you.
If you want to get into the beta, the only way to get invited is still to use our signup form.

Thanks, I transmitted the info.
I think a lot of folks are actually wondering when or if personal invites by Yahoo Mail beta users will indeed be available.

If Yahoo spreads beta to new testers, then there won’t be such so-called invitations.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks for the feedback link – I couldn’t find it on my beta site.
http://feedback.mail.yahoo.com/betafeedback_mailbeta
Anyway, I’ve got a pretty serious problem with messages (traffic reports from Sitemeter.com) that are unreadable using the beta. I used the FB form to tell someone, but, I was wondering, do you want me to forward you a message like I’m getting? Or, do you want to have someone contact me?
I realize your blog isn’t a beta help support site, feel free to delete this comment if so, but right now you’re the closest thing to a human with a clue about this beta I’ve found…
Thanks, kj

Did you sign up? That’s the first step. Once you’ve done that, I’m afraid all you can do is wait.

I’ve had the beta for over a month now. I like the interface, but I’m finding it’s pretty slow – slow to load messages. Are you working on that Ryan?

I’m not personally working on web UI performance, only because I don’t work on the team that builds the web UI. There are people on the web UI team working on performance, though.
