As for shopping, we hit Commercial Street and Brigade Street. Both had a large number of shops. Commercial Street had a lot of smaller shops with plenty of trinkets, silk and other items of interest. There were two malls we hit, but both were packed. While prices appeared cheaper than the US prices, you won’t find anything in the malls in Bangalore that you can’t otherwise get in the US.

I am in Bangalore now – working hard, like you. What did you think of Mysore? and did you find any place to shop besides the state run shops? I know guys aren’t the best for in-depth shopping, but who knows – you might have found a bonanza?
