del.icio.us splicing turned off

March 20, 2007

Enough people griped about me splicing my del.icio.us feed into my blog feed that I’ve disabled it. Evidently it was causing signal-to-noise problems for people who only care about the things I post on my blog. So, if you’re still interested in my links, you’ll have to subscribe to my links feed separately.

Oh—But I enjoyed seeing all the links about random yahoo mail issues. Oh well, I’ll have to find a new guilty pleasure.

You can still get those links, just subscribe to my del.icio.us links.

I didn’t mind it at all. An enhancement request would be for you to actually comment on why you bothered to add the links though since one would assume they are reading this blog for your opinions and insights and not just whats going on with yahoo mail – which has its own blog you could publish to.

Yeah, I had been using del.icio.us for my workflow in keeping track of what people are saying about Yahoo! Mail. It’s clear now that having that stream of links mixed in with my remaining links makes it difficult to see the interesting links.
