Hey Ryan,

I also got inspired to try Krav Maga because of fight quest. I started about 2 months ago and although i'm not the most fit person (at all).. It's been heaps of fun and am learning so much! The first session I went to was probably my hardest, once I got used to the training it became easier. I still have to walk off to the side every so often to catch my breath.. but getting better :)
I would recommend it to all! the bruises have been very worth it!! I tried out a few of the schools that we have here in Melbourne, Australia and found that there was one with ex Israeli soldiers running it.. I would recommend them, they seem to be the most genuine and have been the most intense of the lot with the best range of instructors.
here's their link: http://www.idftraining.com.au/index.php?view=page&pageId=6

take care

I am doing self defense since about 20 years now. Started with Judo, switched to Aikido and then about 8 years professional Karate. Since about 6 years I'm working with Krav Maga and it's really the most effective way of self-defense I've ever done, especially against attacks with weapons.

Hey Ryan,

The blog is a great idea! I took a couple of classes about a year ago. I couldn't believe how intense it was! I really got a great workout. Work got in the way of my classes so I'm thinking of taking online lessons. I know it won't be the same as being in class, but at least I can get the training in when my schedule allows. If anyone has done it online, let me know. If not, I'll be the one to spread the word if it's any comparison to actually being there. Happy brawling!

Hello Ryan,

I was very excited to see your blog. What a fantastic idea, hopefully you don't stop the Krav Maga training or this blog. I have been training in Krav Maga for almost ten years, mostly in Australia! To this day I still think Krav Maga is the best system for a modern world, one reason why a few years my business partner and I started www.kravshop.com. If you ever want to talk further about Krav Maga, training apparel or a possible trade for a link - just send me an email.

Great Job!
